Lack of Sub-Folders for Collections make things a bit messy for organization. There's an entire thread on it in their Support Forms called "Google Drive - Watch Folders Issues" unfortunately we can't add links in reviews. It's a huge pain point for working with teams when using Google Drive. The only workaround for this is to have FontBase installed locally, and then each team member can use a "Watched Folder" for Google Drive, however, then Collections are no longer shared/synced. This means you can’t watch your System fonts, OR, if you have your fonts organized outside the FontBase root and want to “Watch” those folders for changes vs. Watch Folder Issue - Google Drive: If your FontBase root folder is on your Google Drive (for working with teams to sync collections), you CAN NOT create Watch Folders.
Font don't always activated on when loading documents in programs like Photoshop where they have been used - this is inconvenient as we have to open FB and toggle them on to get them to work. Reviews say this one the best and most well designed manager. We've selected popular font managers for Mac OS which we're going to review. I've had CorelDRAW 2018 crash on me a few times doing this too. If you have an entire collection visible in the scroll list it slows CorelDRAW down to a crawl while you're looking for a certain typeface.
Then you can use the filter settings within CorelDRAW to show or hide various fonts. You can find a YouTube video here that might help anyone looking to try this one out. You organize your collection within Font Navigator. I keep hold of licencing for the different entities I. Reviews say this one is easy and straightforward and while I’ve never used it, people seem to like it. Nice balance between features and simplicity. Overall I like FontBase but there are a few issues. Nicely integrated in adobe apps, easy and fast to work with.
